If you have a child or children aged from 0 to 5, then do come and join us at Toddlers which meets every Friday morning during term-time, from 10.00 am to 11.30 am. We are a friendly group of mainly mums, but dads, grandparents and carers are welcome to join us too.

We have a large play area for toddlers and a lovely range of toys. There is also a quiet, soft-mat area for babies in the lounge. Each week, there are table top activities – Playdoh, Lego, books, and puzzles – and a craft. This can include painting (with aprons provided!), collage, colouring and making simple items. We also have a music session for the children about every six weeks.

There is a microwave in the kitchen for mums who need to heat up bottles, and a baby-changing facility in the ladies’ toilet.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits are provided for adults and the children have a drinks’ break with squash and biscuits. As we are a church-based group we have a Pause for Thought – a five minute slot to provoke thought – on the first Friday of every month. This can involve anything from a verse from the Bible, a short talk, a magazine article or music. However, whatever the format, it always involves eating home-made cakes.

Other activities include a Christmas Party and a Summer Outing.

Entrance to Toddlers is via the back door which leads off from the car park. Mums are asked to ‘sign in’ so we know who is in the church for fire safety reasons. There is a voluntary donation of £1 per family group.

Where are we?

You will find us at: 1 Cope Road, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 2EJ.

The church is situated on the corner of Cope Road, and Southam Road, the main road leading north out of Banbury centre towards the town of Southam. (map)

Parking

Parking is free during our services on Sundays. You can either park in spaces at the side of the church (off Cope road) or at the Orchard Health Centre. Permission has been given to park in the health centre staff car park during Sunday services.

To access the car park, turn into Cope Road from Southam Road. Continue past Arran Grove on your left to the fire station on your right. Turn left immediately opposite the fire station, and the car park entrance is on your right.
